Can't find it?

What you see depends on your role. If the menu, a button or a setting on this page is missing, ask your administrator to give you the permission listed above or to turn on the feature. Only administrators can turn features on and change site settings.

The customer list

Open Contacts > Customers. Each customer shows its name, its e-mail address, and an Inactive badge when it is no longer offered on entry screens. Type in Search to find a customer by name. The list is the standard content list, so you can also sort it and act on several customers at once.

Add a customer

  1. Select New Customer.
  2. Enter a Company, or a First name and a Last name. A customer is listed under its company when it has one, otherwise under the person's name.
  3. Optionally enter the E-mail that invoices and receipts are sent to, the Payment terms (days) (for example 30 for net 30; empty means due on receipt) and Notes.
  4. Enter the Address. The fields follow the way the chosen country writes addresses; for the United States, choose the state and enter the ZIP code.
  5. Enter the Phone and the Mobile number.
  6. Select Publish.

Two customers cannot have the same name: the page says Another customer already has this name. Add something that tells them apart, such as the city.

Change or retire a customer

Select Edit next to a customer, change it and select Publish. To stop offering a customer on entry screens without losing its history, clear Active. Inactive customers stay on the list with an Inactive badge.
