Operational Reports
Besides the financial statements, these reports look at the day-to-day figures: what you sold, what you bought, what you spent, what each category earns you and what your customers owe. A store also has its own reports, listed at the end.

What you see depends on your role. If the menu, a button or a setting on this page is missing, ask your administrator to give you the permission listed above or to turn on the feature. Only administrators can turn features on and change site settings.
Run a report
- Open the report from its menu.
- Choose the Date range, such as This month or Last quarter, or a custom range.
- Optionally choose Compare with:
- Previous period: the period of the same length just before. A month compares with the month before, a quarter with the quarter before, a week with the week before.
- Same dates last year.
- Select Show. Export saves the report as CSV or Excel.
With a comparison, each line shows both periods, the change and the change in percent; lines with nothing in either period are left out.
Sales report
The daily sales and the service tickets by sales category. Up to a month it has a column for each day; over a month, a column for each month. Summary only shows one total per category with its share. Sales tax is left out (it is not a sale), and subtracted categories such as bottle refunds show as negative amounts.
Purchase report
The purchase lines of your bills: first the total and share of each purchase category, then every line by date and vendor with the invoice number and a total per vendor and day. Summary only leaves out the lines. Only bills marked for the accountant keeps the bills you flagged with Ask my accountant.
Operating expenses and other income
What was posted to your operating expense accounts, or to your other income accounts: the total and share of each account, then every entry under its account with its date, entry number and memo. These come from the books, so they always match the profit and loss, whatever screen the entry was made on.
Performance
For each category you buy stock for, the sales against the purchases, what was kept and the margin: (sales − purchases) ÷ sales. The total margin is what was kept over what was sold. Categories you only sell, such as lottery, are left out, since there is nothing bought to measure them against. With a comparison, the margin of the earlier period is shown next to each category.
The margin is only as good as the categories on your bills: buy beer under Beer and wine, not Grocery, or both margins will be off.
Customer activity
For each customer: what they owed when the range began, what they bought on credit (credit sales and invoices), what they paid, and what they owe at the end; then every credit sale and payment of the range. Customers who owed nothing and did nothing are left out. Summary only leaves out the list.
