Attachments
Keep the paper behind an entry with the entry itself: the vendor's invoice on a bill, the signed work order on a service ticket, the purchase invoice of a fixed asset. Attachments are kept privately for your business: only people who can see the entry can open its files.
| Where | Under the editor of a saved bill, service ticket or other income; the Attachments button of a saved fixed asset |
| Permission | The permission of the entry: seeing the entry lets you open its files, changing it lets you add and delete them |
| Feature | Documents & attachments |
What you see depends on your role. If the menu, a button or a setting on this page is missing, ask your administrator to give you the permission listed above or to turn on the feature. Only administrators can turn features on and change site settings.
Attach a file
- Save the entry first: files are attached to a saved entry.
- Open it again. Under the editor, Attachments lists its files. For a fixed asset, select Attach the invoice or other files.
- Select the files, then Attach. You can pick several at once. On a phone or tablet, you can take a photo of the paper.
Accepted are PDF files and JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and TIFF images, up to 10 MB each and 20 files per entry. A file is checked by its content, not its name: a file that is not really a PDF or an image is refused, whatever it is called.
Open, download or delete a file
- Select the file name to open it in a new tab, or Download to save it.
- Select Delete to remove it, after confirming. This cannot be undone.
Deleting a file does not change the entry, and changing the entry keeps its files.
